Sonny is a handsome 23-year-old chestnut gelding. He is friendly and sweet, and quick to approach in the pasture. He is incredibly loving and loves people. He is an owner surrender as his previous owner did not know why they were unable to keep weight on him and were unable to provide the special care he required due to age-related issues. Since his arrival we have discovered that Sonny’s terrible cribbing has caused his front teeth to basically be level with his gums, this makes it impossible for him to graze. Sonny requires 24/7 access to hay and mash several times a day. We have had his teeth done by the vet and continue to provide him with a special diet. We expect Sonny to live out the remainder of his life with us and we will keep him comfortable and his tummy full as long as we can.
