Casalsa is a beautiful 5-year-old dark bay thoroughbred. He is friendly and sweet, and easily approached, in fact, he will follow you all over the paddock looking for love. Casalsa is a very expensive racehorse purchased from New York to race at the track. Unfortunately, he stretched his suspensory ligaments and was retired. Casalsa has been off of stall rest since October 15th and we have been working with him. He has surprised us quite a bit as we were expecting to have to retrain him like most OTTBs, but Casalsa is sweet and sensible and great with groundwork and under saddle. He is an incredibly smooth ride and leads, loads and ties well. Casalsa stands well for the vet and the farrier and is already doing small jumps, he transitions smoothly from a walk, trot, canter.
