Horses with training have the best chance at a good life
Horses that have training have the best chance at a good life. Some horses that arrive at the ranch already have a lot of training while others have had very little if any. We assess all our horses to determine what level they are at and then develop a training program specific to each individual horse’s needs.
It is very educational to watch a trainer work with horses. So much can be learned just by observing how a horse responds to instruction, how the trainer responds to the horse, what techniques are fair and effective and which ones aren’t. Every horse is different and they come with their own history, often unknown to us, making it even more important that training is gentle and kind.
